Private meeting notepad
Yawn records a consented meeting on your Mac, gives you a place to write what matters, and keeps the transcript beside your notes when you need to check a detail later.
Stored on this Mac · no account · no meeting bot · no automatic sharing
The loop
Yawn does not join calls, mine a calendar, or turn a conversation into a task list. It gives one person a clear recording boundary, a notes field during the meeting, and a readable record afterwards.
Confirm consent, headphones, and retention before recording begins.
Your notes are yours. They are saved separately from the transcript, not presented as generated claims.
Reopen the finished meeting and use its retained transcript to check a decision, owner, or detail.
Private by default
The app makes its limits part of the working surface. A missing or withheld part of the record is stated plainly instead of being smoothed into a confident note.
Capture, transcript, and your notes stay in Yawn’s private local storage. No account is required.
The transcript is the retained record for checking what happened. Your notes do not become a claim about what was said.
Recording and transcription state are shown only when the local app can confirm them.
Internal alpha
This is a test build for real, consented use on Apple-silicon Macs. The limits below are product facts, not fine print.
Yawn does not invite a bot, connect a calendar, create tasks, or share meeting content on your behalf.
A transcript can be incomplete. The app keeps the source available and states when a part of the record cannot be trusted.
Yawn asks for an explicit check before recording. You remain responsible for getting the consent your meeting requires.
Download
The current public installer remains an internal-alpha build. It includes the on-device speech runtime, which is why the download is large.
Current published installer
This is the currently published installer. Newer source work is not presented here as a download until its release file is signed, notarized, and available at this link.
